The 2020 Corvette is Motor Trend Car of the year. This is the first-ever mid-engine Corvette. It is my personal car. With 495 hp is amazingly fast catching 60mph in 2.8 seconds. The car does a quarter-mile in 11.1 seconds. The double-clutch 8 speed is wicked fast and smooth. The car is remarkable in all ways.
The Chevrolet Corvette enters the third year of its stunning rebirth as a mid-engine sports car with exotic styling that instantly turns heads.
The Corvette offers a mind-bending package of quickness, handling and even comfort on the road. However, its biggest strength is the price, which undercuts several competing sports cars by a significant margin. New for this year is a race-inspired C8.R Edition package that pays tribute to the Corvette's motorsports success.
The 2022 Chevrolet Corvette is a two-door sports car, available as a coupe with a removable hardtop or as a traditional soft-top convertible. Its trim levels are the 1LT, 2LT and 3LT. All models are powered by a mid-mounted 6.2-liter V8 engine (495 horsepower, 465 lb-ft of torque) matched with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Corvette is rear-wheel-drive only.

The 2022 Corvette convertible offers a retractable hardtop for the first time. It’s a two-piece roof that folds under a tonneau cover at the press of a button thanks to six electric motors. The process takes 16 seconds and can be performed at speeds of up to 30 mph.
The hardtop provides a sense of security when running errands and impressive sound damping on the highway.
With the roof folded away, a pair of flying buttresses conceal the roll bars and direct wind away from the cabin. Between the power rear window and side windows and it’s a rather calm place at speed on the highway.
The C8 still features a cam-in-block small-block V-8 right behind the passenger cabin, only it's grown to 376 cubic inches, or 6.2 liters. The new Corvette rides surprisingly well, too. In Tour mode the car is very comfortable The ride quality maintains in Sport and Track modes.
The cabin features high build quality and materials. Braking from 60 mph takes place in 97 feet.
The C8 is very easy to drive. It has extreme performance capability to keep up with supercars at multiples of its price.
